Preventing Diabetic Kidney Disease Conference

Event Date:
Friday, 5 July 2019 -
8:30am to 4:30pm
London Clinical Networks and Diabetes UK, in partnership with Kidney Care UK, Kidney Research UK and NHS London Specialised Commissioning

The key aims of the event are to educate a wide range of healthcare professionals about diabetic kidney disease and to issue a call to arms for greater prioritisation on prevention as a means of reducing the risk or delaying the onset of chronic kidney problems.

This event will reflect on the current position of Renal and Diabetes in the capital, profiling the current levels of prevalence and opportunities to meet unmet need. It will promote good practice in terms of prevention, early diagnosis and proactive management of the condition that will interest a wide range of professionals working in multidisciplinary teams and the emergent primary and community care provider networks.

Appropriate weighting will be given to inspiring clinicians across the whole of London to take immediate practical action in their geographies. The event will also take a forward look to the future to understand what technologies might be available to support time-pressured professionals to better detect and prevent kidney disease in the diabetes population. This event is open to all professionals working in the diabetes and renal pathways or across both.
