Peabody’s Young Ambassadors initiative supports young people to develop life skills and become leaders within their community. It equips them with design thinking skills to identify challenges in their community and develop a solution.
Peabody is funding 11-25 year olds to develop their own projects, activities and events for other young people and residents in their local area. Young people can then become Young Ambassadors. They will be provided with bespoke training to represent their peers and communities across a variety of structured forums.
Youth organisations that engage young people in RBKC, particularly Peabody residents, are invited to participate in the programme. The offering includes: a tutor to train young people on design-thinking principles, level 2 qualification for young people and £1,000 for them to run a social action project. There’s availability to take part in October 2021, February 2022 and further dates to be confirmed.
