Family Friends launch campaign video

Family Friends

Family Friends have launched 'Two Hours' - a campaign video across all their social media channels. The short film is a collaboration from everyone at Family Friends, John Lyon’s Charity, The Media Trust, award-winning director Jo Southwell, John Lyon’s Charity and Aston Management.  You can view it on YouTube here.

Disadvantaged families in West London need your help. If you’re over 23, and can commit just #TwoHoursOfYourTime once a week, please get in touch with Family Friends.
Family Friends is a charity that works with disadvantaged families. The aim of Family Friends is to help families to help themselves. The charity provides befriending and mentoring services via a network of trained #volunteers to families who live in Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and South East Brent.

They offer two services
1. Parent Befriending for parents of children aged 0-16
2. Child Mentoring for children aged 5-16
Family Friends’ volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and they are selected for their qualities of warmth, empathy, and understanding. They use training and their commitment and life experiences to become a supportive friend or mentor. In addition to finding it very rewarding and gaining the benefit of learning some new skills, many use their experience of volunteering with us to help develop their own careers. Our volunteers recognise the importance of reliability, confidentiality and trust.
