Shopping Support

KCSC is working with voluntary and community sector partners to co-ordinate a ‘shopping’ offer for people who are not eligible for food distribution services and can afford shopping (max £45), but are unable to do their own shopping due to vulnerability or shielding.

Contact details for the service are:

  • If you are a professional call 020 7243 9804 or email the completed referral form to health@kcsc.org.uk to refer someone
  • Or if you are a resident call the Covid Hub Shopping support number on 020 7361 4025

This service will help residents of any age who are able to buy their own food but have no support network such as family, friends or neighbours. It has been particularly set up to support those who do not have access to the internet and therefore cannot buy or pay for shopping this way.

If the criteria are met residents will be contacted by a local organisation to arrange a shopping list as well as a method of payment. A DBS checked volunteer will do the shopping and drop it off. Residents will only be asked to pay for the shopping, there will be no additional costs.
