What the Street Population Outreach Team do

The team works a variety of shifts including late nights and early mornings assessing all rough sleepers in Kensington and Chelsea. We can refer to accommodation projects, but not always immediately, dependent on the individual’s circumstances. For example, they may have to wait for a space to become available in supported accommodation. The team are not out every night but they aim to respond to all new referrals of rough sleeping within 48 hours. During bouts of severe weather, extra shifts are carried out and emergency shelters are provided.
