Grenfell Tower Site - the Government takes over

The Government makes contact with the communities of North Kensington on the future of Grenfell site.

"Dear all,

Following the commitment made by the Communities Secretary, Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP, last year, Government has taken legal ownership of the Grenfell Tower site, and is now responsible for keeping the site safe and secure. Yesterday, the Communities Secretary and Minister for Grenfell Victims sent a letter to the bereaved and survivors to provide an update. We wanted to draw your attention to the fact that this letter and accompanying factsheet are publicly available on Gov.uk, here.

To keep up to date and in touch with all Grenfell community updates, visit our new dedicated pages on GOV.UK at gov.uk/grenfell-community-updates.

If you have any questions about site transfer or site management, please contact our new mailbox GrenfellTowerSite@communities.gov.uk.

Please forward this email as you feel necessary.

Kind regards,"
