Consultation on the Council’s new plan for the borough

The New Local Plan sets out the Council's vision for the future development of Kensington and Chelsea for the next 20 years.  The Council is currently undertaking a review of the Local Plan and asking for responses to the various options being put forward.  The consultation ends 4 October 2021.

There are critical questions to answer, particularly on addressing climate change and on delivering 4,500 new homes in the borough. The Plan proposes net zero carbon emissions within new developments as well as the upgrading of existing buildings, plans for improving air quality and dealing with flooding.

It also details areas for development including Kensal Canalside, Edenham Way and Earls Court where new homes will be built and asks the question if the places identified still remain appropriate for development?

Responses can be given online as well as by registering to attend consultation events.
