2027 Programme: Applications now open for 2019!

2027 launched last year supported by Big Lottery Fund, Barrow Cadbury Trust and Esmee Fairbairn.  It’s a 12-month salaried job and professional development programme, giving talented people from working-class communities who have experience working in frontline community-focused roles the tools and experience to develop in grant-giving positions in foundations and trusts.

2027 is a fantastic way for people to rapidly accelerate their career to prepare them for decision making roles about where funding is spent in their communities. The ultimate aim of the programme is that by 2027 leading organisations and people dedicated to change want to ensure 40% of grant-giving decision makers are from working-class backgrounds, having deep community ties and real experience of the issues affecting those communities.  Last year, the 2027 programme supported 10 people into roles at foundations like Children in Need, NPC, Guy & St. Thomas’ and Big Lottery Fund and they are looking to expand the number of placements available for 2019.

The programme is looking for 20 excellent people to participate in this year, starting in October 2019 at various foundation partners across the UK.

The deadline for applications is on 30 April at 1pm. For more information on the programme and about how to apply please click here
