Food Banks

OUR NEW REPORT, DETAILING THE RESULTS OF RESEARCH INTO FOOD POVERTY IS NOW AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD AND READ ONLINE

In Britain the richest 1% own the same amount of wealth as 54% of the population. While the rich benefit from getting richer - millions of people across Britain live below the breadline.

There is no better evidence of this than the growing number of food banks in the UK. Yet, the current statistics on food banks may not reflect the entire picture.

Our project therefore aims to understand better where these food banks operate in the borough, who they serve and what support they require. Through our cross-sector partnership, we hope to produce and implement a local plan to address the issue of food poverty in the borough. Whether you work at a food bank or use a food bank in the borough, we’d like to hear from you.
