Grants of up to £50,000 are available to support creative, locally-led proposals which bring people together, improve public spaces and support community hubs and high streets.
Make London [www.london.gov.uk/make-london] gives you the opportunity to pitch new ideas - big or small - to fund local community-led projects that help your local area or neighbourhood recover from the COVID-19 crisis.
There are two tiers of funding:
- Tier 1: Up to £5,000 for small projects that start something new or grow an existing idea
- Tier 2: Up to £50,000 to support larger test projects for the city. At this tier you’ll need to crowdfund some of your project costs from other sources.
The deadline to pitch your idea to the Mayor of London is 28th January 2021. In advance of this, programme partners Spacehive is running a series of online drop-in sessions to help you get your application ready.
Sign up for this session to find out more about the opportunity and receive guidance on how to plan your project.
Make London builds on the experience and ethos of the internationally recognised Crowdfund London and Culture Seeds programmes and delivers on the London Recovery Board’s [ www.london.gov.uk/coronavirus/londons-recovery-coronavirus-crisis/london-recovery-board] ‘Building Strong Communities’ and ‘High Streets for All’ mission objectives.
