Are the experiences within your community being taken into account in the development of local health and social care services?
Following the success of our Small Grants Programme last year, we’re running it again, and this year we’d like to invite you to apply.
At Healthwatch Central West London our work focuses on understanding the needs of patients, residents and carers living in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster so that we can put their views forward and shape local services for the better.
Frequently under-represented in conversations about health and social care are people from different ethnic groups, people living with a pre-existing health condition, the young and the old. We want this to change. This is why we have launched a grants programme - to enable us to partner with local grass-roots organisations that specifically support these communities, so that together, we can reach more people.
This programme is about more than funding. We offer resources and support so that we can help you to enhance your community engagement, whilst helping us to inform developments in local health and social care service design.
Last year we partnered with 5 local grass-roots organisations who were awarded one of our Small Grants, and heard from local people who find it hardest to be heard in conversations about health and social care services. The winning organisations included Make it Happen, FAWA, Breathe Easy, LEGS and WAND.
