Grants of up to £50,000 are available to support charities and social enterprises to develop or grow their enterprising activity and earned income. Organisations must be operating in the following fields of homelessness or youth services.
This is a pilot scheme will run for one year and has a total fund of £1.85 million.
Two types of grants are available:
- Feasibility grants - between £5,000 and £10,000 to enable organisations to investigate and develop an enterprise proposition from the very earliest stage into a proposed delivery plan.
- Development grants - up to £50,000 for organisations that have an enterprise proposition which requires further development or scaling and where there eventually may be a potential requirement for investment.
The grants programme will be open on a rolling basis and will continue to be open for applications until June 2019 but the exact date will depend on levels of demand for grants. An update will be added to the guidance notes once a final application date is decided and will aim to give as much notice of this as possible.
