The Baring Foundation has launched a long-term funding programme in 2020 that aims to strengthen the creative opportunities available for people with mental health problems in the UK. The Foundation is now accepting applications for the first funding round of this programme which focusses on supporting specialist organisations with unrestricted grants. During future funding rounds the Foundation is planning to broaden the focus of the programme.
The funding is intended for specialist organisations that solely focus on offering creative opportunities to people with mental health problems, working with professionally trained artists.
Organisations do not need to apply for a specific amount of funding. The Foundation expects to be making grants of between £12,000 and £15,000. The final grant awarded will depend on the level of demand.
To be eligible organisations must:
- Have been operating for at least two years.
- Have audited accounts for at least the last year.
