The latest edition of Stars of Our Story takes us to The Clement James Centre, a charity focusing on children and young people in North Kensington.

CEO Dami Solebo spoke about how the centre provides consistency and refuge to young people who may not have received that before. At the same time, occupying this space can bring up challenges that no one organisation can fix on its own. Dami also talks about the relationship between our two charities.

Ensuring the voices of Healthwatch and our VCSE are heard in health decision-making

The West and North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) are holding a workshop to help the board better understand the experiences of local residents. Aimed at voluntary sector partners, the workshop will explore how to make it easier to share feedback and ideas about the NHS, so that the ICB can make improvements that will help people get fairer care and have better experiences.

Taking place online on 12 August.

Forever Care Partners Fund

We are seeking up to four local VCSE organisations that operate in the south of the borough to become Forever Care Partners. Work alongside us to develop and deliver a more personalised, relationship-based approach to supporting people whose needs are often overlooked by traditional services.

The Forever Care programme will take place from September 2026 – March 2027 with applications open until 21 August 2026.

RBKC Council Plan - Survey

RBKC are inviting resident feedback on local services to inform the next council plan. The survey is open until 9 August and asks what should be prioritised in the plan.

FREE Change4Life Clubs

C4L's new term of clubs are running, open to children (with accompanying parent/carer), young people and expectant parents in Kensington and Chelsea or Westminster.

New 'Career Ready Fund

This fund from the Henry Smith Foundation focuses on early, structured support that helps young people build real‑world experience and move towards paid employment.

Deadline: 2 September, 5pm

This funding is intended to support the creation of websites or digital products that enable small charities to carry out their work in a more efficient way, resulting in positive social benefit.

The Engaged Mindfulness Initiative are offering an 8 week Mindfulness Course starting on 2 October, which will include the foundations of Mindfulness, guided meditation and home practices for finding steadiness in everyday life.

Climate Zine Making Workshop with VCKC

Join Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea to design a page to be added to their North Kensington zine - whether you want to draw, scrapbook, write, take photos, whatever it may be!
