,
With this being our last e-bulletin before Christmas, we wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy break, and also to share some resources and signpost to services that may be useful to people who rely on support all year round.
Our food bank page gives details on organisations providing food-related support in the area, and we've updated it with the information available about what is open over Christmas and New Year: Food Banks in Kensington and Chelsea. Over at Westway Trust, doors are opening at 1.30pm on Christmas Day for a festive dinner, and disabled access is available.
The NHS Talking Therapies service shared this leaflet with us which has details on emergency support, food assistance, mental health services and staying connected over the holidays, focused on Kensington and Chelsea but with some information for the wider West London area.
Regarding the cyber attack that affected RBKC services, the council are updating their website and FAQ page regularly: Cyber security attack FAQs | Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
As well as emergency support, we've centred a lot of this edition's content around funding, with webinars and different funding streams so local voluntary and community sector organisations can have a look at what you can prepare for come the New Year. Check out our main funding page for even more opportunities.
Lastly, we wanted to spotlight an important session we're doing on the North Kensington Health and Wellbeing Network on 15 January. Alongside local VCS organisations, we want to talk about the future of health and wellbeing VCS support for people affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. The session will be interactive and informal, with small group discussions and time to share ideas. We will share a short summary of what residents, survivors and bereaved families have told us so far about their wellbeing needs, and talk with you about whether this matches your experience and what kinds of VCS support and activities make the biggest difference.
Thank you for reading, and happy holidays to all. |
