Sector News

What the sector told us about the impact of Covid-19 during 2020

Covid-19 created a wave of action across the voluntary and community sector as well as across informal groups and individuals at neighbourhood level.

During 2020 KCSC has held a series of meetings to understand what the impact of Covid-19 has been on the sector and its client groups; we also conducted a survey to gain a deeper understanding of the issues.

RBKC - Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Reduction Strategy

The Council have implemented a five-year Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Reduction Strategy and accompanying 12-month Action Plan.

In the near future the Council will establish a Homelessness Forum whose membership will include Council services, statutory partners, community agencies, and residents.

KCSC are hiring!

We are looking an individual to join our Health and Wellbeing Team as Health and Wellbeing Project Officer.

This role will support the Health & Wellbeing Manager in the project-management of Voluntary and Community Sector health and wellbeing programmes funded by West
London Clinical Commissioning Group and lead on the day to day coordination of the North Kensington Self-Care Programme.

Healthwatch: Join the Voice Exchange

The Voice Exchange is a group of citizens that works with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust as they consider the future of inpatient services in 2021.

They are currently recruiting group members, to attend monthly meetings to discuss plans for mental health services in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.

Civil Society Roots Incubator

Grants of up to £25,000 are available for charities, community or grassroots organisations for projects which raise awareness of the Windrush Scheme, the Windrush Compensation Scheme or both.

Deadline: 26 January 2021, 5:00pm

Windrush Community Fund

Awards of up to £5,000 and Growth Awards of up to £15,000 for collaborations and/or partnerships of two or more organisations that meet one of the objectives of the Building Stronger Communities Mission.
