KCSC are hiring!

We are looking an individual to join our Health and Wellbeing Team as Health and Wellbeing Project Officer.

This role will support the Health & Wellbeing Manager in the project-management of Voluntary and Community Sector health and wellbeing programmes funded by West
London Clinical Commissioning Group and lead on the day to day coordination of the North Kensington Self-Care Programme.

North West London to become an ‘integrated care system’

The NHS and local authorities in North West London will join together as an ‘integrated care system’ (ICS) from April 2021.

London Recovery Board: Building Strong Communities Planning Session

The London Recovery Board have committed to delivering 9 key missions in order to restore confidence in the city, minimise the impact on London’s communities and to build back the city’s economy and society.

Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission Update

Kaizen, a community engagement specialist, supporting the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission and the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government are continuing the conversation about any future memorial until May 2021.

Guidance to help organisations and groups understand how to safely and effectively involve volunteers during the pandemic.

What if Christmas: 'Christmas in a box'

'Christmas in a box' will go to those in need in K&C, including every family on Free School Meals and each vulnerable and isolated older person. Help by volunteering, donating or spreading the word.

Winter Wellbeing Leaflet

NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Services have created a leaflet which includes some tips, ideas and information to help manage some of the challenges people might face during the festive season.

Adult social care: Coronavirus (COVID-19) winter plan 2020 to 2021

Find out about the support available for the social care sector, including the main actions to take for local authorities, NHS organisations, and social care providers, including the voluntary and community sector.

RBKC Holiday Services Guide 2020

The Council has put together a 'Holiday Services Guide' including helpful contact details and hours of operation. It will be delivered to residents' homes this week and is available online.

Voluntary Organisations Forum

The agenda includes Karl Wilding CEO of NCVO who will be speaking about the state of the sector in a Covid-19 environment.

This meeting is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.

Diversity in the Workplace: Inclusive Recruitment

Friday 18 December 2020, 10:00am - 11:00am

This session will explore why diversity and inclusion matter, and offer guidance on how to improve your recruitment processes, including how to design inclusive job descriptions and how to use the onboarding period as an opportunity to ensure new members feel included from the start.

This training is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.

RBKC Council Support for Voluntary Organisations

RBKC Council undertook an independent review of the Corporate Services Grant programme in 2020 and is looking to shape a new funding programme.

KCSC are working with the Council’s Community Engagement Team to host a workshop (with 3 different dates available) inviting voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to be involved in shaping the future programme.

Grant Fundraising for Beginners

This workshop is ideal for organisations new to grant fundraising. It will be delivered by KCSC via Zoom to help you learn how to apply for small grants.

The workshop is particularly suitable for small voluntary organisations or those new to fundraising. Follow up support will also be available.

Large Grant Fundraising

Organisations working in Kensington and Chelsea are invited to attend this Large Grant Fundraising training session, which will provide you with the understanding and skills required to find and secure grant funding, and develop long lasting relationships with funders.

Corona Kids: BAME Welfare Telephone Support Service

Corona Kids are currently delivering a welfare telephone support service to London Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Families (BAME) with a family member in prison.

Youth Action Alliance: Staying Connected

The Staying Connected project works with young people aged 10 to 19 years facing multiple challenges during the COVID pandemic, including those with disabilities, English as an additional language, leaving the criminal justice system and young parents.

Youth Action Alliance: The Digital Stop

The Digital Stop is an online programme for young people 11-19 years old, and up to 25 learners with learning difficulties or disabilities (LLDD). The programme, includes various interactive activities that young people can get involved in virtually.

Youth Action Alliance: The Market Project

The Market Project is a free programme for aspiring entrepreneurs, giving opportunities to young people 16-21 to access a combination of skills development, support, professional guidance, and training via an interactive online platform with mentoring throughout.

COVID-19 Winter Support Grants

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for voluntary organisations working in the criminal justice system to support their vital work through the winter with particular interest in BAME-led and focused organisation and those delivering specialist services for people with protected characteristics.

Changing Futures: Changing Systems to Support Adults Experiencing Multiple Disadvantage

Grant funding of up to £15,000 will be available to local partnerships to help adults facing multiple disadvantages like homelessness and mental health issues.

Local Connections Fund

Grants of up to £2,500 are available for small local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations that are working to reduce loneliness and isolation by bringing people and communities together as the country recovers from the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

Volant Charitable Trust - COVID-19 Response Fund

The COVID-19 Response Fund aims to help charities in the UK (and abroad) to alleviate social deprivation, helping vulnerable people affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The activity must be specifically related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
