Equality and Diversity Training

Registration is closed for this event
Small charities and community organisations are working with diverse communities. Learning more about the Equality Act and all the different protected characteristics can help fight discrimination and ensure a professional and respectful environment.

Come along a receive a half-day training designed to help voluntary or community organisation handle equality and diversity appropriately.

Equality and Diversity training is becoming an essential part of training for all workplaces. The Equality Act 2010 introduced the protected characteristics we should respect, as well as the discrimination and unfair treatment that we should all avoid within a professional environment.

This Equality and Diversity Training course will include:

  • Discussion of what equality and diversity means
  • The Equality Act, including the Public Sector Equality Duty

There will group exercises and a Q&A session.

Angela Chaudhry, who is Corporate Equality and Diversity Lead at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has agreed to deliver this training for us. She has worked in the area of equality and diversity for the past 13 years and has a background in Occupational Psychology.

The event is completely free for voluntary and community organisations working with residents living in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This event is funded by RBKC and is part of the Grenfell Community Leadership Programme
