KCSC  has been working with some of our local stakeholders to develop a response to the Council’s consultation on making changes to their constitution.  This will be a new ‘Charter for Public Participation’ which, in due course, will replace the ‘Local People and the Council’ section on pages 4-6 of Part One of the Council’s Constitution

To date, we have developed an initial proposal of our own Charter with accompanying traffic lights asking for commitments from the Council to help the community measure impact of decisions and determine when they should be demanding a role.  We now want to test this version and gather feedback before we submit to the council.

Next week at the Advice Forum we will spend a few minutes reflecting on our proposal and would appreciate some of your time to read the information and share your views.

Please see Charter Standard and Commitment Circles documents.

This meeting is for representatives of local voluntary and community organisations operating in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is not open to members of the public.
