Get ready for the new data protection regulations (GDPR)

Registration is closed for this event
Data Protection law is changing in May 2018, come along and find out what you need to know to make sure your organisation complies.

This training day will:

  • Ensure that all participants are confident about the basics of Data Protection, both now and in the future.
  • Put Data Protection in context – looking at its relationship to confidentiality, for example.
  • Explain fully the changes that the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will introduce and how the new requirements might be met.
  • Explore in detail the issues that will particularly affect small- and medium-sized charities.
  • Enable participants to draw up an action plan.

The training does not require any prior knowledge of Data Protection. It is most suitable for people who have some responsibility for Data Protection.

Part of our Reaching Potential Programme this course is open to voluntary and community organisations operating the majority of their services in Kensington and Chelsea. Places are limited to one person per organisation. If you wish to send a second person please email Siobhan [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list for if there are any last minute places available or we may consider running it again if there is demand.
